TENSION
19 sts by 23 rows to 10cm over double moss st, using 5.50mm needles
WORKING PATTERN
SCARF
Using 5.50mm needles, cast on 65 sts.
Row 1: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.
Row 2: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.
Row 3: As 2nd row.
Row 4: As 1 st row.
Last 4 rows form double moss st patt.
Cont in patt until work measures 220cm from beg, ending with a 4th patt row.
Cast off loosely in patt.
POCKETS (MAKE 2)
Using 5.50mm needles, cast on 37 sts. Row 1: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. Row 2: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. Last 2 rows form single moss st patt. Cont in patt until work measures 18cm from beg, working last row on wrong side. Cast off loosely in patt.
MAKING UP
Sew pockets in position, placing bottom edge of pocket 25cm above cast on and cast off edges as illustrated. Fringing - Cut yarn approx 50cm in length and using 4 strands together for each fringe, attach with crochet hook to cast on and cast off ends of scarf as illustrated. Trim fringe neatly.
