• Tapestry needle

With 2 strands of yarn held tog:

9 sts = 4 inches; 7 rows = 4 inches

Row 2: Ch 2 (see Pattern Notes), dc in each st across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 4: Ch 2, dc in first sc, [fptr (see Stitch Guide) around dc below ch-1 sp, dc in next sc] across, turn. (142 sts)

ATTACHING POCKETS

With RS facing, place Wrap flat. With RS facing up, place first Pocket on end of Wrap. Beg at top corner edge of Pocket; join 2 strands of yarn through both thicknesses and working through both thicknesses. Take care to ease Pocket to Wrap to avoid puckering.

Rnd 1: Now working in rads, ch 1, 3 sc in top edge of Pocket, *[ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] to next corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] to next corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] to top edge of Pocket, 3 sc in top st of Pocket, working along long edge of Wrap only [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across edge* to placement of 2nd Pocket, 3 sc in top edge of 2nd Pocket, rep from * to * to first sc of first Pocket, join (see Pattern Notes) in beg sc.

Rnds 2-5: Ch 1, *[sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next st] to corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in center corner st, rep from * 3 times, [sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk next st] across, join in beg sc. At the end of rnd 5, fasten off.
